Funding

Operating from the point of view of economic viability and culture, the FFA funds feature films at all stages of production and exploitation: from development through production to distribution and sales. Further support is made available for the funding of cinemas or the preservation of the film heritage. Starting in 2025 the FFA is also integrating the BKM’s previous cultural film funding programme under its auspices and thus be responsible for film funding on a federal level: film funding in accordance with the amended FFG, the Federal Government’s jury-based cultural film funding programme, the German Federal Film Fund (DFFF) and the German Motion Picture Fund (GMPF).
